What a week!
With the hotel’s Habbo Cola frenzy taking a backseat to the newly-launched Petal Patch and Funky Friday bringing a surprise recolour for the second time in a row, players are scrambling to restock credits and hoard their favourites. HC Sofas remain the dominant currency in trade rooms, though a continuing train of new subscriptions has brought their value to a more sustainable level.
Colas currently trade at a premium relative to Petal Patches, but it’s possible that this price differential reverses down the line. Petal Patches are the more popular of the two rares, and with Colas being the only rare available during the hotel’s hype-filled first week, it’s possible their quantity exceeds longterm demand. Beyond this, the impending removal of Petal Patches from the catalogue may spur some latecomer FOMO.
Recoloured Plastos from last Friday’s surprise drop have rocketed in value over the past two days. It’s fair to say that prices are not yet stable, but many recorded trades have seen single items trading for up to 1HC. Future release of this line is contingent on a community vote, so it is possible the quantity of these items never increases again.
Finally, we may have seen the birth of Origins’ first super rare: the Small Ticket Bundle. This glitched item was included in purchases of the 12 month Habbo Club bundle on June 18th and 19th, and while it is not directly tradeable, sales using donation rooms have been recorded approaching a 10HC value. We encourage users to exercise extreme caution when trading outside of the safe trading box, but have noted a tentative valuation to better document market activity. Please note that there is no confirmation as to whether this item will be “fixed” or remain as-is. Staff have confirmed that the Small Ticket Bundle is here to stay.
That’s all for this roundup! Happy trading to all our readers and see you next Friday µ
